Description
This is a very direct way to be part of the Divine Liturgies we celebrate at the Monastery. If you have ever travelled to one of the Orthodox countries, I am sure you have seen people waiting in line to offer the priest (or someone who helps him at the Altar) a piece of paper, wine and bread. That piece of paper has all the names of the people for whom they pray, and the bread and wine are their offering to God’s Altar for those people.
We live on a Scottish island and you, our benefactors, live hours (or days) away, in different countries and, very frequently, on different continent. This is our effort to open our services for you, so we can all be together the way the people in those small villages come together in the Divine Liturgy.
